Born and raised in British Columbia, Madeleine Boisclair-Joly is an artist who takes inspiration from the natural environment around her.

Her practice as a maker involves painting, printmaking, ceramics and drawn works on paper. Madeleine’s work repeatedly draws on botanical themes and landscapes from her youth. In early 2024 she exhibited a solo show — Place — at the Anna Leonowens Gallery, in Halifax. She will also exhibit work in the upcoming NSCAD Grad show in May, 2024.

Her current focus is large-scale paintings on both canvas and found wall-space.
